“Eli Eli, lema sabachthani?” (My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?”)
Why such torment and humiliation?
Doctrine of Christ
The Sufferings of Christ…
For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Romans 5:19. Christ suffered a brutal death and punishment to please God the Father to prove that man could obey God. What was so different about this man Jesus and where did he get the power to undergo such a test, even to the death of a cross? Was Jesus really a man, or was he God, or was he the GOD-Man?
The Doctrine of Christ reveals through scripture and testimony that he was sinless and his manhood was both God and man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and Word was God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. John 1: 2-3
For God sent not his Son into the world that he might judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. John 3:17. Christ endured the cross for love he had for us from the beginning of his creation…This is my story, and how the cross of Christ change by life from a sinner to a minister full of love for his people…
The Love of Christ…
I was attending an executive leadership school in Syracuse New York. When I arrived, I was given a cabin to stay in. What was unusual is, I was given the whole cabin to myself, and not shared. While unpacking I received a phone call from Joan, my wife at the time, who shared crucifixion of Christ. What she was describing grabbed me so hard I hung up the phone and fell to my knees. In an instant of time, I saw Christ before Pontius Pilate, and a band of soldiers mocking him. I then saw into heaven where there were thousands of Angels dressed in armor. On their faces, I saw anger and pain, and they seemed as if they were perched to come down and help him. The suffering was so brutal!
Growing up as a Catholic I knew the 12 stations of the cross, but I never saw or imagined anything like this! They put a crown of thorns on his head, and beat it down with a stick, until the blood poured out over his face! They had no remorse or sorrow, they spit on him, pulled out his beard and mocked him. I cried out in a loud voice, “If you are the Son of God, why are you allowing this?” To which I heard in such a gentle and loving voice, “Because I love you”. The room was filled with this heavenly presence, it was so peaceful.
I ran out of the room, went to the dinner hall and sat at a table with other executives from other companies, what happen next was very strange: They were talking and looking over this waitress saying they wanted to make her. My spirit jumped, and then an audible voice such as I never heard before said, “That is your sister.” The tears started streaming down my face, and I felt embarrassed, so I jumped up and ran out of the dinner hall back to my cabin.
The next morning after breakfast I attended a teaching session where we divided up into two groups, one played the clients, while the other played the consultants.
There was this one young man who thought he knew it all, so I went after him and cut him down with my sharp tongue, in fact I shredded him to ribbons, normally I would be very proud of myself, except this time I was shamed by God. The voice spoke to me again, “But that is your brother!” Again, the tears streamed down my face and I ran out of the room crying, yelling at God, “why are you doing this?”

The Lesson I Later Learned…
He was teaching me to love his children Mark 12:30-31. (Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is to love your neighbor as yourself.)
When I got back to my cabin and I saw the Bible a preacher gave me right before my trip, and for some reason I just took it and went into the woods.
I never read the Bible before, so I just flipped it opened and the pages fell on John 3:3. I started reading about this priest named Nicodemus who came to Jesus at night (I was wondering why at night sneaking around). Nicodemus told him he was the Son of God by the miracles he worked and asked Jesus how to get to heaven.
I was deeply moved as I began to recall my childhood, when my parents divorced and placed me in a Catholic boarding school where I felt abandoned and rejected. I remembered asking a Nun, Sister Jude about God and how we knew he was real, to which she answered, “Look around, see the sky, the trees, who could of painted such a beautiful picture?” I was in the second grade at the time, but that stayed with me as witness to the existence of God for the rest of my life.
But something else I remembered that stayed with me all these years – I remembered going into the chapel and praying to Jesus kneeling at his statue asking him if I could be a priest and telling him I wanted to go to heaven and wanted to know how to get there. Funny how God is always there and sometimes we just don’t know it: Many are called, but few are chosen. Matt 22:14 I believe God knows us before we are born and knows our sins and our heart.
Here I am 25 years later reading about this priest asking the same question I asked, “How do you get to Heaven?” Oh, how the words were so powerful as I read, “Except a man be born again he will never enter the kingdom of God, what does this mean?” I asked. “You must be born of the water and of the spirit,” I read. I read on – “God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Jn. 3:16 Gods love meant everything to me! For Christ to suffer, be mocked, beaten, and humiliated, and to have the power of restraint, knowing he is the Son of God. He allowed all of this to happen because of the great love he has for all of us.
The Call of God…
I immediately fell to my knees and God gave me this vision: I saw Jesus leading a flock of people like sheep to heaven, and then I saw some of them falling away, and my heart jumped as I wanted to run after them and bring them back, so I cried out to God, “Make me a ‘flocker’!” This crazy word was coined by me, or God, I do not know, but I knew I was called of God to witness for him and lead people to the Cross of Christ.
I never knew the true meaning of that vision until recently as I started attending the Well Church 55 years later and now, he has revealed it to me. My ministry is Eschatology, the end times, and bible prophecy, of which I cannot drink enough of this word and presence. The stray sheep are those ministers and people called of God who are falling away from their calling and church in these last days being drawn by the sinful desires of the flesh and worldly desires. Satan is at work and plans to destroy the church of Christ and his ministers.
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils. 1 Tim 4:1
God has given us sound doctrines of truth to strengthen his church to withstand the attacks of Satan and his principalities. False Christs and false doctrines will rise up with the fall of our great country and Israel. These doctrines will fool the very elite!
He is telling me the churches are asleep and not prepared for what is coming! They have no clue when he says the lighting comes from the east and flashes in the west, and so shall the Son of God be. Matt 24:27 He showed me the distance will be so great and sound so loud the whole world will see it and hear it. Fear will come to this earth, like never before.
I will share one more testimony and then share what God is showing me so far from the studies of the Doctrine of Christ. I will say that Satan is fighting me and every time I pick up Conner’s book a raging battle occurs, but the Holy Spirit wakes me at night and literally talks me through it. He assures me it is his leading and I am following his divine will and I am pleasing him.
Before I went to Leadership School, one night Joan picked up a Christian magazine and brought it to bed. We just lit up some marijuana and were very high, when we read this scripture in the magazine, “This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world and the end would come” Matt 24:14. Suddenly, there was a bright light in the room, and we were instantly sobered! The presence was holy, as we felt so ashamed and scared. We ran to the toilet and flushed down the whole bag of marijuana and carton of cigarettes. The next morning the whole world seem as if it was washed clean, and we asked each other was that an angel, do you think it was God? That morning when Joan went to the store a book grew very large in front of her and the title was, “Jesus Stopped Bye.”
The next morning, we went to a small AOG church, a neighbor told us about. When we walked in, I felt that presence again, and they were singing Amazing Grace! I felt that song was written for me as I was such a sinner. The preacher was teaching a series on the Second Coming of Christ, when I heard him say, “The antichrist will come like a politician kissing babies,” my heart jumped! Afterwards he gave an alter call, I felt prompted to go, so I stood up and right as I stepped out of the pew a wave hit my body from heaven, the strength was so strong it dropped me to my knees. I had no idea what had happened. That night a strange language flowed out of me, I know now from the scripture what John the Baptist meant when he said, “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire. Matt 3:11
Here Is What the Holy Spirit Is Revealing to Me from This Class:
The greatest witness is God the Father, there came a voice from heaven saying, “Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Mark 1:11
One third of the Bible is prophecy about his first and second coming of Christ. No other books, the book of Mormon, the Quran, or any other book has Prophecy. Benny Hinn, anointed evangelist of God, said there are over 2,500 prophecies and 2,000 have been fulfilled.
Non-Christians testified to his existence, Pontius Pilate, his wife, historians, such as Josephus, a priest named Nicodemus, the Centurion, the soldier who pierced him. etc.
The apostles, and thousands of people who followed him, and witnessed his miracles.
Jesus himself testified of his deity several times.
Peter who do you say that I am? “You are the Messiah, the son of the living God.” Matt 16:13-20
But the greatest witness of all is the Holy Spirit, and this is what kept me all these years, even when I walked away and got caught chasing wealth and prosperity teachings which are not of God!!!
He was the God and Man, tempted and tested as we are, sinless and holy and he won the battle of humanity even to the death of a cross so we may have life, and have it throughout eternity. He is the first of many, the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, and his kingdom is forever! He will rule with justness and fairness, and no more will evil greedy men rule on this earth – Praise be to God!
My Greatest Truth…
The greatest lesson or truth revealed to me, was his deity and humanity and how he was tempted directly by Satan, and he responded, “It is written” This showed me the power of his word and his strength to carry out . will of the Father. We must swallow his Words, memorize his Words and drink his Words until his Word flows out of us like water. In the beginning was the Word, and Word was God, and all things were made by him and nothing that was made was made without him. He dwelt among us, and we knew him not.
Secondly, he knew no sin, and became sin for us and was crucified on the cross, I knew I had to be crucified with him to minister for him. I now know I have to die to flesh and sin, and only by reading his word and going deeply to prayer could this be achieved. In the garden I saw his sweat turn to blood when he cried out to God the Father, “Father, if you are willing, take away this cup from me: nevertheless, not my will, but thine will, be done.
Luke 22: 42-44
The Power of The Holy Spirit Ministry…
Take up the cross and follow me, is not a saying, it is his words to all his followers who are called of God to minister his gospel. I believe there are 3 stages to achieve ministry at the level where one must die to self and empty oneself to allow the Holly Spirit to operate through one’s ministry at the highest level. He did it, he showed us the way, there is no greater sacrifice, no greater love, than to give up one’s life and to follow in his foot-steps!
1. You must be Justified - salvation (turn from sin)
2. You must be Sanctified – holiness (live without sin)
3. You must be Crucified- ministry (die to sin and live by the spirit) Romans 8:2
He showed me his joy and fulfilled the will of his Father, even unto death on the cross. His love for his Father and for all who pick up their crosses and follow him is boundless.
I must share this – when I was in England praying for revival in Sunderland, with the ministry, the Holy Spirit came on us in power, and our spirits left our body floating upward, and we spoke in foreign languages, that none of us knew, and we laughed and laughed so hard our stomachs hurt. He gave us a small Pentecost experience along with his Joy. The pastor thought the radiator leaked gas, we all laughed aloud as we knew it was the Lord.
My Prayer…
Dear Jesus, I pray you will crucify us with you, and that we may die to flesh and desires of this world, to serve you, and follow your commandments, carry out your will, not our will. You gave us your Holy Spirit, teach us oh Lord, in these last days, the power and gentleness of your Holy Spirit, that you will minister to your people and be glorified through you working through us. Use us oh Lord as you pour out your spirit in these last days. Strengthen your ministers that not one would be lost to lies and deceits coming on the face of this earth. Teach us in the likeness of you and your Holy Spirit to please you! Heal the sick, free your people from the demons of hell, and their illness, the lies they believe, fill them with your Holy Spirit and boldness to share your gospel. Talk to us oh Lord, and let us hear your voice, meet us in our dreams, see you in our visions. Gift us your word of knowledge, discernment, deliverance, healings and prophetic messages. Rise us up to carry out your will and pour out your Spirit. Create in us an everlasting hunger that can never be quenched. We love you and thank you for all you have done and will do in our lives. Let us look forward to your coming and live as if we are in heaven with you here on earth. Please give the ministers of the Well your Pentecostal experience and let them hear the angels of heaven who sing with them every Sunday. Bless your kingdom forever and everlasting. Amen
